NATURE TRAIL ROUND THE LAKE

Behind the Huberalm, cross the stream and walk towards the lake. Keep left for the nature trail around the beautiful mountain lake. The walking tour can also be done the other way around.

ROUND TRAIL RASEN

From Camping Corones via the "Dorfrundweg Rasen“, following the edge of the woods slightly uphill to the raod “Redensberger Straße”, then downwards turning left and up to the “Jagdhaus”. Continue on the forest road until you reach a barrier, then along the edge of the woods to the barbecue area. Cross the main road, follow the path to the River “Antholzer Bach”. Walk back along the stream to Ober- or Niederrasen.

CIMA LUTA (2,145 m) - CIMA DURA (2,275 m)

From Nieder- or Oberrasen on the path nr. 20 to the Mudlerhof. Follow path nr. 31 right up to the Lutterkopf. Cross the Durakopf on path nr. 31. Descent via path nr. 38 to the Taistner Vorderalm (path nr. 38 A) on the forest road to the Mudlerhof – further downhill to Rasen following the path nr. 20.

MALGA HOCHRAUT (1,643 m)

Open from the middle of June until the end of October. Closed Tuesday except during the month of August. From Oberrasen to the Oberstallerhof – on the barrier, follow path nr. 5 on your left to the Hochrautalm. From Mudlerhof – path nr. 31 – Mudler pond – path nr. 31 to the Hochrautalm. The climb to the Lutterkopf (2,145 m) is also very rewarding.

MONTE NALLE (2,231 M) | MONTONE (RAMMELSTEIN 2,483 m)

From Ober- or Niederrasen on path nr. 4 or nr. 3 to the farm “Burgfrieden”. Follow path nr. 4 through the woods to the “Ameisböden” (or by Redensberg on the forest road) – further on to the Alps Redensberg and Aschbach. Path nr. 4 leads to the Hochnall – crossing to the Rammelstein peak, (sure-footedness necessary). Descent: same way back as the ascent or following path nr. 4 from the Rammelstein to the Lahneralm/Unterhütten; on the forest road back to Burgfrieden/Rasen.

RIFUGIO VEDRETTE DI RIES (2,792 m)

Open from the end of June to the end of September. No day of rest. From the centre of Antholz Mittertal, take the path to the Egger farm. From there, turn right to reach the Berger and Brennalm. The serpentines lead you uphill to the secured path and then steep up to the Gemsbichljoch and the Alpine Hut. Accommodation in shared bedrooms and in the camp/emergency camp (water, shared bathroom, electricity). There is also a winter room. Ascent also possible from Rein/Sand in Taufers. The next mountain hut is the Hochgall- Kasseler Hut (2,276m) reachable by the Schneebigen Nock or the Magerstein; high alpine tours.
